Checking out the neighborhood

Although I haven't seen his mate around, this male bluebird has been checking out the backyard frequently. Today, he even tested out the entrance to the nesting box. I'm not sure what the outcome will be, but it is fun to watch him. A second photo of him is an extra for today.
