Used and derelict car parts

This group of car parts had me wondering. I knew the object in the middle was a brake, or to be more precise and as found out in the pub, a brake rotor. The packaging on the left is from Brakes Direct, so would have contained the new version of the brake rotor. But the two things on the right had me baffled. Again the pub was provident. Brett said they are CV (constant velocity) joints.

So the consensus around Brett's table was that whoever replaced both the brake rotor and the CV joints knew what they were doing. 'You couldn't do this in an afternoon.' Then it went on: 'Do you need your brakes/CV joints replaced love?' 'No, just taking a picture.'

Thanks for hosting Marlieske. Stay well all. And thank you for all the responses to my yesterday's blip for admirer, may she rest in peace.
