Beautiful, but deadly.

We’d a walk in the woods, close to where we were on 24 June; so different to then. Today was another day of very heavy showers, but we were quite sheltered. Few folks about.

Foxglove. A fair few flowering just now. Bee friendly. They land on the lower lip and crawl upwards to the pollen. Used as a source of medicinal compounds; also poisonous.

Family FaceTime. All well. Plans thwarted due to weather. Older son and fiancés’ cat kept disrupting their jigsawing; some funny film clips shared. Attention seeking at 19 years old. She’s a much loved character.
