A Day Worth Recording

Mistleno

Went for a walk to and around British Camp (the local iron age fort).  Took a path we don't normally do; one generally less travelled by the look of it.

The whole walk was generously supplied with birds, from the hovering Kestrel to the Martins zipping over the reservoir, but the closest encounter were a couple of Mistle Thrushes Meadow Pipits who were remarkably tolerant of me.

(Edit: Having asked the bird-aware photographers on the local facebook group they happily confirmed it was a mistle thrush; then later changed their mind when more birdy people arrived. Me, I'm just confident it's neither a blue tit nor a seagull).
