Mono, not in B&W

Susan found this old tea cloth when emptying out the airing cupboard (and finding a leak in one of the hot water pipes - another problem to deal with although I think we have a solution....)

She taught Y4 at the time, so the children would have been between 9 and 10. I worked with one of the boys on the cloth for a few years since 2014, as part of the work I do for the prison service. When we first met there was the usual discussion about where you lived and what you did and all that and it turned out that he was taught by Susan. A small world.

I’m still in touch with him, married now and 2 children of his own so I sent him this photo. His reply was that it remains a good likeness although his neck is rather thicker now. Scott, he insists, looks just the same!

A walking milestone achieved today on our walk into town or rather, on our way back when we passed the 1000 mile mark in our ambition to #walk1000miles challenge in 2020. It’s a whole month earlier than last year! And 6 months earlier than the first year in 2014 when we made the 1000 miles just after Christmas. We ought to make 2000 miles this year and at the same time pass the 10,000 mile cumulative total.

Thanks to Laurie for hosting MonoMonday, not in B&W.
