Hollyhocks

The best weather today was first thing this morning at around 6.30 when we were out for our respective exercise, me for a run, Susan for a walk which again included dabbling her feet in the River Len.

It was downhill for the rest of the day as various bands of rain passed over. In a bright spell I replaced the battery in Susan’s car - the battery that failed at 2.00am when we’d had to go up to Susan’s mum.

I spent time on a myriad of admin tasks and the second signalman’s scenarios questions that we’ve been sent to keep our skills and competencies sharp during the lockdown. It looks likely that we’ll be reopening with a very limited service towards the end of July.

I’ve blipped our neighbour Sue’s hollyhocks before, some years ago. Im pleased with the detail on the large flower and the other red flowers which appear to be jostling in the background to get in the shot. It doesn’t fit the bill for the TT challenge of an eye, human or otherwise. Except the centre of these flowers look like eyes (at a stretch), thank you Trisharooni for hosting.

We took part in our respective Rock Choir tutorials this evening. Another new song, You’re the Voice by John Farnham.
