Someone Was Definitely Looking After Us...

We were all set up for taking China to the veterinary hospital this afternoon and as Mel was due to collect a mare that had been there for artificial insemination, it made sense to combine the two. So we agreed to take her bigger trailer (as the mare has a foal at foot) and so go in her jeep as my car would struggle with the extra weight.

I was happily doing my weekly supermarket shop this morning when Mel rang to say that the engine check light had come on in her jeep! I headed up to the yard and after a long deliberation on whether we should take two vehicles but it is a long and hilly drive which would have challenged my car, we decided to risk it and complete with masks and windows open we set off! Anyway the risk paid off and we got there safely and as you can see here China was happy settled for the night ready for his operation to remove the tooth tomorrow.

We collected the mare and foal and set off on the hour and a half trip back again. We made it back at about 7pm and literally just as we pulled back onto the yard we had a puncture on one of the trailer tyres...I think someone was definitely looking after us to get us back safely!
