You've been spotted

It's at least 10 days since I last blipped my Red Kite.  So here she is again.  This is our resident female.  In that time, the pair have fledged a second chick.  It was the new fledgling I was trying to capture but he/she is much more shy.

The first chick is not easy to distinguish from its parents (although its breast is paler) except it still thinks it should be being fed and creates a huge racket if it isn't.  They are easier to tell apart by body language and behaviour than how they look.

The second chick still hasn't learned to tuck up its legs when it is flying.  It looks as if it feels safer having legs dangling down in case it needs to crash land.  How a one week fledged bird flies at all in this gale with a 180cm wingspan, I'll never know.
