Fauler Sonntag/Lazy Sunday

And for those of you who play with grammar, the word is "faul" but because there is no definite article it takes the ending of the definite article. And it would be "der faule Sonntag" with the definite article.

And I'm sure I've mentioned this before but I hope you'll forgive me "Mark Twain once heard a Californian say that he would rather decline two drinks than one German adjective."  And there are worse things to do on a Sunday afternoon than read a bit of Mark Twain.

To give you another quote - "The Germans have another kind of parenthesis, which they make by splitting a verb in two and putting half of it at the beginning of an exciting chapter and the other half at the end of it. "
