Bedraggled

MONOMONDAY - ALONE

This poor bedraggled Blackbird was all ALONE foraging for food for the family.  He was so busy stamping his feet to encourage worms and grubs that he didn't notice me coming round the corner.  I think he's been working very hard as he did look so bedraggled and had some feathers missing.

We offloaded our mound of Lockdown clearings-out to the Big Hospice Collection Site near us this morning and afterwards called in on friends for a wonderful socially distanced get together, we hadn't seen them since their great Boxing Day party last year. We left with a bag full of home grown produce:  Charlotte potatoes,  Mange Tout, peas, cabbage, and calabrese.   We're having poached salmon for dinner with some of those Charlotte potatoes and a salad concocted out of my homegrown lettuce, K's mangetout and peas, my chives, nasturtium leaves and flowers* and English tomatoes.

MonoMonday, thank you 60plus for hosting.
