Sgwarnog: In the Field

Bank

This boggy bank is one of my lockdown discoveries on my local patch.

For the past few weeks it's been a great spot for orchids and now a huge expanse of Meadowsweet is blooming, with the purple Betony occupying the drier bits.

On sunny days it's proved to be a good corner for butterflies and damselflies. Today I saw just the odd Meadow Brown and Ringlet disturbed from their roost.
