Onion drying rack

An early morning run in bright sunshine with a cooling breeze. Not many people around with few cars and plenty of cheery cyclists.

After breakfast I spent a couple of hours at the allotment digging up the last row of shallots and these red onions. I’d seen this onion drying frame at another allotment and thought it might be a good idea. It’s under a tree so may be sheltered from the promised rain.

Dug more spuds, picked the first green beans and four good sized courgettes then spent a happy time picking black currants from the seated position.

Much admin this afternoon with Rock Choir tutorial this evening: second week of John Farnham’s You’re the Voice. Quite enjoyed it even though we’re singing it on our own and not as part of the choir.
