Dun Caragarry

About four years ago, Tricia and myself walked around the hills here looking for this fort. We ended up only 20m below it but failed to find it. And that was the main object of our 17km walk. We even 'phoned a friend' to try and get a more accurate location. Quite frustrating.....
Today however, D's boat took us to the bay at the bottom and the whole walk was less than 2km. That said up and down steep boulder strewn crags with thigh heigh heather and bracken and it felt closer to the 17km version than the reality of 2km.
An impressive place to eat one's sandwich perched on this rocky ledge that had been made into a fort, probably in the Iron Age (i.e. c 100AD).
Time was then put in reducing the cost per hour used of the hammock as well as planting a few more plants.
