"Hey mister!..."

Visiting our local health centre is normally a convivial and social affair, a chance to catch up with people you haven’t seen for a while.
All that has changed in our “ new normal”.

I was there this morning for a routine health check. Now the door is locked, you ring a bell; you are greeted by a masked nurse  (I already had mine on) and then escorted through an empty waiting room to your doctor or in my case nurse.

We have been lucky in this area with few cases of the virus.
Had the nurse heard of any cases?
Yes.

“One man had come back from a cruise and developed it. But there was no coronavirus on the ship.
“He had arrived in the UK   then drove up to Scotland stopping at a motorway station for patrol. Thanks to “ test and trace” they discovered that’s where he picked up the virus.”

Is it any wonder some of us are wary to go out and about?
It will take a lot more than the government promise of a cheap meal to get me into a restaurant.

Photo- no social distancing for our feathered friends on Airthrey loch.
