Orchid hunting

We visited the Beetham garden centre this morning to get some bits and pieces for the garden.  It was quiet and well organised.  We got most of the things we had set out to buy and one or two that you could categorise as impulse buys!

This afternoon I had a walk up onto Hampsfell to see if there were any orchids about.  The early purple orchids are now all gone and the only orchid I found was the one pictured which I think is a very small common spotted although it did not have any spots on its leaves.

Today is one year since we moved up to the Lake District.
