Sgwarnog: In the Field

Deep

In one of those cyclical things, exactly a year to the day since I last bumped into some foxes I met three more, although these ones were better at hiding themselves deep in a meadow.

With the extravagance of a dry Saturday ahead of me I planned a two walk day.

This morning I headed along the Bank to see if any Purple Hairstreak butterflies were out yet. There was no sign, but I did find Ringlet, Meadow Brown, Small & Large White, Small Skipper, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral & Speckled Wood.

Then this afternoon I went down to the river and the nature reserve - it wasn't as sunny,  but still nice out. Four goosander were the highlight until I met the foxes on the way back up the hill.
