Taking My Chances

A severe thunderstorm watch loomed large as I chanced my arm between downpours to search for a photograph. In fact it was still raining a touch and became more persistent as my short walk progressed.

The light green leaves caught my eye, standing out in the dim evening light. It was quite blustery, causing movement in most of the vegetation, however this plant was low to the ground and reasonably sheltered. Still I upped the iso to compensate.

I like the texture and, as with yesterday's hostas, the overlapping shapes. The dark green leaves in the bottom right make a nice contrast. I'm not sure what they are. I couldn't get the wet sheen on them to look quite right.
