Ant and deck

We get ants on the patio. Today, there weren’t many till this afternoon, when loads of them appeared. Then the flying ants appeared. So many flying ants. They tested their wings, tumbling and somersaulting like apprentice acrobats, then (after I’d gone in to hide) loads of them flew off. I went back out to find some still there: some flew off, some still stumbled about, like this ant on the decking.
