Lavender's blue, dilly dilly

Definately dilly, dilly - 

Whilst sitting in the lovely sunshine in the garden today I noticed that the peace and quiet of the last few months has now all but disappeared:  a very noisy motorbike with no silencer has been doing loop the loop round the neighbouring streets, making one hell of a din;  the louder than usual purr from the town's bypass, kids (enjoying themselves) in the recently opened play park, not a million miles away, and more ......  

Mustn't rant, it's progress from the lockdown which is an essential part of the Country's recovery I know, but I'll continue to dream of that country cottage down a leafy and quiet lane!
