Summer fun

Our daughter and family headed back home this afternoon but we took the opportunity of visiting the beach at Budleigh before lunch.  We were so surprised at the number of people out enjoying the glorious weather.  I suppose we had avoided the beach at the weekends so far but we wanted to give our grandson the chance to see the local beach.  People were all maintaining good social distances but we had never seen so much activity in the sea and in the estuary.  There were many paddle boards out and several that had dogs as passengers both in the calm sea and in the estuary.  The blip shows the view of the estuary just before it flows into the sea.  Our grandson was very enthralled with the sea, the children and probably the excited voices of the many children around.  We didn't stay long but enough time to walk around and soak up the vibes of such a sunny day.

They had a good journey back home and we are left with nursery rhymes repeating in our heads and feeling very happy to have spent time with them and to have got to know our grandson more closely.
