Day 112 Elusive

Butterflies are known to be elusive and that has certainly been my experience this Summer.  Today was the first time that we had seen several types in our garden and all were determined not to be photographed.  Best of the bunch was this peacock, who at least stayed still for a while but was very reluctant to open his wings.

In other news: coronavirus deaths and new cases continue to fall in the UK, which is obviously a positive but life is still far from normal, with Leicester still in lockdown and outbreaks in Hillingdon hospital and at a farm in Herefordshire, the latter amongst vegetable pickers and packers.  Meanwhile Michael Gove has said that he doesn't feel that masks should be mandatory in shops, but rather people should be trusted to do the right thing. Hmm, trusting people hasn't worked terribly well so far!
