Finished.  Quit.  Left.  Departed. Exit.

RETIRED

I retired from my career job some 13 years ago.  Now I have retired from my retirement hobby job.  Today was my last day at work.

What strange circumstances in which to finish,  No grand flourish. No crowd waving me off and wishing me well. I feel like I'm leaving with a bit of a whimper. 

However, I did receive some lovely messages from my (ex-) colleagues and generous gifts.

This is the last time I shall drive out of this gate from the school site, dodging the school buses as I go.  The next phase of life begins here.
