Practice Run

I thought I'd get back into using my macro lens and photo stacking. It took a while to get all the equipment set up, then I decided to have a practice run on this Setaceous Hebrew Character moth and save a beautiful Buff Arches Moth for the main event. Sadly, the Buff Arches had other ideas and by the time I was ready to photograph it, it firstly decided to play dead and lay on its side, then revived suddenly and refused to stay still so I released it. The Scalloped Oak in extras was much more compliant, but I did not get quite enough shots, so it is blurry in one corner. In the end, the first run turned out to be the sharpest once stacked.
