Guillotine

Simple but effective mechanisim - was a guillotine modeled on a sluice-gate, or the other way around? I don't even know if this is really called a sluice-gate, but it's certainly designed to control the flow of water between the ponds. The old salt making infrastructure is still in place, but mostly decaying gently away.
