Mapperton Gardens

A last minute invite by a friend, and fellow blipper, to spend today visiting two gardens in Dorset.  The first was The Mill House as part of the ngs (National Garden Scheme) where we strolled around the various gardens with some lovely small corners.  It was rather grey and we even had a few spots of rain but it didn't put us off.  The flower in one of the extras was taken there.  As they limit the number of tickets each day there are not that many people walking around.  The next stop was Mapperton House only a few miles away.  This is an impressive Jacobean Manor House where the gardens were open for rebooked visitors.  They had a one way route marked out through the extensive and very ornate gardens.  I have included several extra photos as I didn't really know which one to choose.  Somewhere to revisit once the house is open I think.

Camera club later in the evening, time seems to be whizzing by.
