PILES AND TREE

This area in Christchurch NZ used to be known as Rat Island. it was the home of the Pleasant Point Yacht Club - One can only imagine (reasonably easy )why it was called 'Rat Island' - but it has a happy ending as the the club buildingwas knocked over during the Christchurch earthquake storm and a new one has now been completed.  The new one is on the other side and I'm pleased to say away from the original site.   This is a bleak picture of what remains on Rat Island.
