wild & precious life

Another day

(backblip)To lighten the mood and fill a day where we needed to stay close to the site in case of news from the vets, we decided to bring forward a little surprise for our eldest daughter.

We decorated the 'event dome' with graduation balloons and banners that we had bought in advance and had a costume cap & gown ready with cake & cava. Seen as she wouldn't be having a real graduation ceremony from Leeds University on 20th, we would give her an alternative! She had been particularly distressed yesterday as we waited for news about Caesar so we thought doing this might be a shift of energy for all of us. (See extra)

It worked. We had a lovely buffet lunch together with cream scones (bought locally) and then we walked down to Wheel Coates (an old mine set in a stunning location with the sea as backdrop) and took some 'official' photos with her throwing her cap in the air. We took these on 'my proper' camera so I will have to wait till I get home to upload them onto my laptop.

On the evening, we ordered wood fired pizzas from the Cornish Pizza Company. Mine was with aubergines & was delicious.

Caesar is comfortable and spending his 2nd (& hopefully last) night at the vets. They said he is off is food though and believe this to be 'behavioural' , i.e. missing his family, and not due to surgery. We miss him too. Our other little dog, Bruno, is not himself either and is acting very strange without him.
