Bustle

Today we travelled out to the west coast for a short break. We did some things we often do, like stopping for a bacon sarnie at The Cabin on Loch Lubnaig just short of Strathyre, then visiting Oban, and also some things we don't usually do when we come to the west coast, which is to stay in a hotel. Our choice was the Loch Melfort Hotel, and so far it's lived up to its reputation. Excellent food this evening. In fact, I've stuffed myself today, in the excitement of having someone else to feed me and to do the washing up. Not that I have to do that much cooking and washing up at home, but the novelty of the hospitality industry functioning again is huge and enticing.

Oban had a bit of a bustle about it, which was great. I think we've probably all had enough of deserted town centres. There were a couple of ferries going about their business, and tourist boats going out for trips, and plenty of people on the streets and in the restaurants and cafes.

Looking forward to a couple of days of relaxing.
