Mid-Week Feast

I saw one of my customers this morning and spent an hour extolling the benefits of Word tables. An interesting lesson mixed in with some other odds and ends.

After lunch Ann and I went to Nero for coffee, braving the cold, cold wind.

I decided to try a new recipe for tea, a Yotam Ottolenghi Eastern Mediterranean dish of Mejadra which is made from fried onions, rice and green lentils with lots of spices. I served it with plain yogurt and salmon.

The picture shows the before and after. We both agreed it was pretty delicious. And there's plenty left over for making a loaf sometime in the future.
