Backblip, I know, but I was simply far too tired last night to post.

After recording the story of Thomas and Toby to post on YouTube for William, Len, Basil and I drove to the vet in Loughborough. Basil had apparently been losing his appetite and behaving oddly over the last few weeks, something he always does in the summer. However, over the last couple of days he had seemed dejected. Not even going for his normal morning and evening barking round the perimeter of the garden.

The vet discovered a scratch on his cornea which had ulcerated. Must be rather painful for our little boy. Antibiotics and cornea repair drops provided. It takes both Len and me to see to it. Len has to hold him while I administer the drops. Nothing else obviously wrong fortunately. Just behavioural issues.

Afterwards, Len drove Baz and me to Queens Park while he went shopping in Sainsbury's. The flowers are splendid. See extra of a multi exposure. While sitting on a bench having given Baz one set of drops, not very successfully, Jason from camera club came by. We enjoyed our chat. His wife came and grabbed her coffee off him because that was what he was on his way to.

Then to the Berber Shop to say Hello to Aziz. He's still waiting to hear if his RyanAir flight to Morocco  on 1st August will be going ahead.

The rest of the day was quiet. I finished another Montalbano mystery. Not many to go now, sadly. Although the final novel in the series, Riccardino, has just been published posthumously in Italy.
