Crowded beach...

...Northumberland style!

Another lovely summer's evening, and we decided on a beach walk from Goswick. Usually very quiet, especially in the evening, we arrived at the parking spot to discover it full of camper vans with cars parked up the lane. But apart from a dozen or so people not far from the track to the beach, the sand was deserted. The tide was out, the sand firm, and we walked for quite a distance towards Lindisfarne, watching gannets diving for fish, dunlins skittering along the shoreline and, way out to sea, dolphins. And, at one point, a seal surfaced for a while and seemed to watch us!

Hard to decide which photo to Blip, but I have a soft spot for these little birds. A couple of extras, including the fabulous sunset we were treated to while walking back to the car. Still light when we arrived home, just before 10.30pm.
