Six Years

It is the anniversary of Bailey's arrival today - six years and no one can really remember a time before him. He has enjoyed some of his favourite pastimes today: patrolling the garden and sleeping on a bed. We also had a walk in the sunshine this morning (although not quite as early as I had perhaps planned) and another this evening once it had cooled down and Bailey had roused himself. In between, I have planned two presentations to staff for tomorrow, washed, ironed, washed the kitchen floor and finished another book. And now there are two days left of the strangest academic  year.
