View from the bridge

I went into Prades market very early to avoid the summer crowds and keep safe.  I then went to the supermarket which was also quiet but when I returned to the market area to get something from a shop that had not been open, the crowds had arrived and social distancing had gone out of the window. I won't go again after nine on a market day. We had a convivial French conversation group at our house in the afternoon. Nicole was not available so Henriette stood in as the native speaker. Afternoon tea was served in the English manner. It has been a hot day but the afternoon storms have arrived with thunder rolling around the mountains.
