Between fen and mountains

Looking down on Sahorre

The pretty Romanesque church of Sahorre require considerable fitness to visit or attend a service as it can only be reached on foot.  The extra gives a better impression of the steep climb up to the building.  When it was built, the locals probably were more used to it, working as they did on the land all day long. I climbed up the the Pla d'Amunt and the col de Vernet which separate the two valleys  before the heat got too intense.  It later became very humid and thundery.  In the afternoon the high spot was a visit to the dump and cleaning some rather inaccessible windows.  I also prepared for a meeting tomorrow.
