Somewhere different

I've been somewhere different today. Our friend D's guide dog Merlin (see extra) was due his annual check at the vet. Normally he'd go to the vet down the road but the Stirling surgery has been closed during the pandemic and all the action is at the Callander surgery some 15 miles away. We took Merlin up the road this afternoon. What an adventure. Callander is always busy and today it felt like any normal summer weekday. I was a bit anxious at times, navigating the narrow pavements with two lively dogs. But it was nice to be somewhere different and the weather was lovely for a walk along the river. We had ice cream. Merlin's check went well and all paid for by the Guide Dogs Association.

I intended to blip a view of Callander, the river or the hills. But this cut and baled field at Blair Drummond caught my eye on the way home so it's a quick blip from the car as we passed it. The year is whizzing by.
