The Lozarithm Lens

Chippenham (Monday 20th July 2020)

After Saturday's day off from the roofers I certainly hadn't expected them to turn up on Sunday, but one of them did. He had come to complete work on my neighbour's room, and painted it to match my cottage. I didn't know if he'd finished or was going to do more work on their fascia board on Monday, so I didn't put back the things in my front yard just in case, but they haven't returned. I took a shot of it all before I went out on Monday (see Extra).
I went into Chippenham to buy a copy of The Wire magazine and have a walk around. I went down to the River Avon where a family was being entertained by a beautiful glossy rat. I nearly blipped it but I know they are not everyone's favourite so it's in Extras.
Just beside the rat was a sole cygnet with its mother. It must be a week or two since I've blipped a swan so it was obvious what my blip must be. I walked along the river and across to Monkton Park, and then up to St Mary Street, through the churchyard of St Andrew's and back to the car.
