The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Saturday 20th July 2019)

This apple tree is just about the only tree remaining from when I moved in at the start of 1989. It was pretty old then and I'm amazed it keeps going and provides a handful of these English Golden Russet apples.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Morton Subotnick - Silver Apples Of The Moon (1967)
This is excerpted from the half-hour album of the same name that I used to own and play in 1967 when it came out (I was a strange teenager). It doesn't sound dated now, unlike the so-called Electronica of the seventies and eighties which was, disappointingly, mostly techno, house, ambient, jungle and Woolworths synthesisers and not what I was hoping for at all.
As this is the anniversary of the Moon landing and the title is also about apples (deriving from Yeats' poem about Wandering Aengus), I thought it appropriate for today's tune.
