Abstract Thursday - Pattern

I liked the random patterns generated by the hundreds of layers in this broken section of bark on this very old paperbark tree.  There are lots of little bits and pieces caught up in there and I thought it was kind of  painterly in an abstract way after I’d finished fiddling with it in Snapseed!  It does look even better in Large! :o)

I’m putting another bit of the same tree in as an extra which turned out to look a bit like a strange tree alien staring at me eek ;o)
