Wanderings & Witterings

Wild

Thursday was a day of two halves, to use a football analogy.

Walked up to the shop in the morning. It was overcast and drizzly, although not cold, so after a post-meander coffee it was down to work on the computer. As they day progressed, so did the weather improve to the point where it was actually quite glorious by late afternoon.

Went out for a walk down to Bonnybridge and into Bonnywood, a  regenerated part of what once was the Central Scotland Forest (slightly before my time). There are a few paths through the wood and what seems like well-managed woodland, but much of it has been left to nature and so in summer it is quite overgrown and wild.

This gave me the opportunity to photograph some of the surroundings and these thistles have made it into my journal for today.
