Which way to to the top?

Today's adventure was a swim in Angle Tarn followed by a scramble up to the top of Angletarn Pikes . You can see the tarn in the background,  R and I had a chilly swim round the larger island while Mr P dipped. Here we are hiking up to the summit of Angletarn Pikes which is my highest Wainwright yet, at 567m and definitely my most strenuous post hip operation hike. It was a 4k hike up up to the tarn at a height of 480m then another 6km scrambling on the hills and back to Patterdale. I maintain the cold swim refreshed my muscles and helped me carry on.

Day 1 of mandatory face coverings in shops and other enclosed indoor spaces in England . We dropped into the Patterdale Hotel to order a drink to have outside on the many spaced out tables - what are the rules, do we need a face covering to go into the bar??  I was so hot I'd left my neck warmer in the car. Turned out we could go in the bar without - confused.
