A time for everything

Black-eyed Susans

Thursday
Busy day today. We are leaving tomorrow for ten days up in Michigan, so the morning was spent doing some laundry and ironing, before driving down to the airport about noon, to pick Laura up, returning from Salt Lake City. She had been gone almost a month, visiting friends, and then her sister Jen in SLC. The flight had been fine - leaving centre seats open, not that many passengers, and everyone wearing masks. She and Jen had got out doing quite a bit of hiking, including a trip to Zion National Park for a couple of days, but she was also having to spend some time studying for her Masters program. We came home and had a bit of late lunch, then it was back to work for Laura, whilst Roger and I got out for a bike ride, 12 miles return, starting from Loveland. That was all we had time for today as when we got home, we had to quickly wash and change, then got out to church for hand bells. Then it was a late dinner, followed by some more ironing!
The flowers in my blip are a very common summer time flower around here, and were found in the centre of a firefighter memorial beside the trail in Loveland.
