Annoying

A few days ago I mentioned that we were looking for spare parts for our old pressure cooker.

After a long disjointed exchange of emails with Tefal we finally found that the part we wanted (the timer) was no longer available so they offered us a big discount of any of their products as a consolation prize. The only thing that we were interested in was their basic electric pressure cooker (multicooker), and as their discounted price was only a little above Curries we plumped for one from Tefal.  It arrived yesterday.

So after trying it out (last night’s mashed spuds - our staple use for the pressure cooker) I decided to check up on accessories and spares.  I was very pleased to find that all the main parts were available at reasonable prices - EXCEPT the ‘float valve’ which does not appear anywhere on Telal’s website, nor anywhere else that I can find.  The pressure cooker does not work without it. It obviously has a working life, and is small and could easily get lost in cleaning!  More snotagrams  to Tefal have been initiated.

Well as ever it is Saturday.

Float valve apart, we will be trying out some of the additional features that the multicooker offers, but unlikely to try their fully automatic recopies, but then again . . .
