Hastings Beach fishing fleet

We decided to take Doreen to Hastings this afternoon. Probably not the best decision as the wind was blowing a hoollie on the seafront which wasn’t very pleasant for Doreen.

It was better when we turned walking with the wind behind us, but not much better. There was nowhere tempting us in for a cup of tea or anything more substantial so after a stroll around the old town and the fishing beach we made our way back home for take out fish and chips.

Hastings fishing beach is always a great place for a blip. The Hastings fleet is the largest beach launched fleet in the country and the beach is littered with boats, fishing detritus and all manner of shacks and buildings.

My day began early at 6.45 with a run up onto the Downs, back in time for a Tesco delivery followed by breakfast. While I was on a video conference call Susan went for a walk on her own. By then it was time for lunch and time to collect Doreen for that trip to Hastings.

We’ve shown Doreen all your the lovely comments you made for her birthday yesterday. She was most appreciative and asked that I thank you all.
