Still spiralling!

The weather has changed, warmish and damp. An early start with giving Joe a hand before taking Esme to nursery, 9 o clock and they had already been painting, she was just getting in her bath.
A quietish afternoon and a long walk up the hill behind our airbnb - it is just so lush, a veritable cornucopia of exotic plants and vines and palms, and then amongst them - daffodils! We spotted a huge rock, and there are a lot of huge rocks around, that looked like a Henry Moore sculpture. On closer inspection it proved to have spirals on it.

The journey home remains problematic. We've had to change our flight again, at yet more expense, as before you can enter Dubai you now have to have a certificate that says you're Covid-free and it can't be given more than 96 hours before departing. We were due to leave early on a Tuesday and of course no clinics are open over the weekend so the certificate wouldn't have reached us in time. We are now going on the following Thursday. This meant we had to change our local flight to Auckland too. We're still not entirely convinced this is the end.

On another note we are hitting Takaka for the evening - an early supper at Dangerous followed by the cinema! White Riot - could be loud but timely.
Catch up tomorrow.
