Heather

I come from the west coast of Scotland where heather makes the hills purple and hazy-looking and thats where its really at its best. Wide expanses of purple haze as far as the eye can see. I am not sure it translates so well into gardens unless its a wild woodland garden.

Heather flower essence was one of the original 38 Bach Flower Remedies discovered in the 1930s. For the needy child archetype; people who talk a lot to hold others attention. They make poor listeners because they are more interested in themselves than others. They often have hearing problems because this is the physical manifestation of their inability to listen. Heather people often manifest illness as a way of getting attention. You know when youre around someone in the negative Heather state because it will feel like you are trapped by their conversation.

Its a difficult pattern for anyone to acknowledge, but we can all get into the self-absorbed Heather state at times. Taking this essence releases the sub-conscious need to get other peoples attention to feel loved, and aids the ability to empathise with others.
