Speckled Bush Cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima)

Old T called in late morning after collecting something from the farm.  He has spent decades simply sitting on a tractor and hedgecutting for hours on end.  He has now paid off his mortgage.   His son P used to work for us but had to earn a larger salary so his Kenyan wife could come to England. He now drives lorries for a local company that supplies food and drink to the cafes in Dorset and Somerset while L his wife works in a nearby town.

The male cricket was in the garden near a rose bush.
