Alcea rosea

I have never grown hollyhocks Or Alcea rosea before and I only had a few seeds germinate so I was pleased to see them in flower. They are just a short variety.
A walk into town this morning and I bumped (not literally) into a walking friend who I hadn’t seen this year so we were able to catch up on each other’s news. It was very warm today My husband finished repainting our bedroom yesterday ready for our new curtains which are arriving next week. He gave the carpet a deep clean and we emptied out the drawers and put in new liners. We are not going to move back in until after the curtains have been hung.
