We said goodbye to our family who live in Switzerland at 7am. Our daughter in law had an appointment with the doctor for her mother who has the early signs of dementia yet to be recognised by the medical profession. Then it was goodbye to the Canadian side mid morning as they were flying off to Venice for a couple of nights and then holidaying in another panther of Italy. My youngest son said I looked like the lady of the manor standing in the doorway of the house we had been staying in. The house martins were nesting under the eves of the house. Then it was time to pack both our cars and drive home, the longest I have ever driven in one day. We stopped off at Stourhead for a break and a walk. A lovely weekend to remember.
