Clouds over the coast

We visited Dunluce castle today (picture in the extras), with an old friend.  This was a piece of pure holiday exploration.  When we first came away, we both found it a bit hard to relax; a week in, it feels easier. The north/north-east coast of N Ireland - including the area around the Giant's Causeway - is dramatic and beautiful. The view here is looking over the water towards the small island of Rathlin. Betty the dog, at 14, isn't up for very long walks any more, so a Rathlin visit isn't on the cards on this trip. She'd be fine with the ferry, but not with the lengthy walks the other side.
But we did explore Ballycastle, including the fabulous 'Snip': a shop selling Irish linen and other fabulous fabrics. I bought a large piece of fabric in a deep indigo blue, a mix of wool and silk - cheap, because it's a sample. Doing justice to it will be a project for the autumn...
