Flower Friday - Roses and Lavender

It has been tremendously hot, close and fatiguing. Nonetheless, the lawns are mowed and we've done our walk. It's very nearly well past beer o'clock.

Up at our burial ground (when I say "our" I mean the Parish Council burial ground that I opened in 2012, the creation of which was the reason behind me initially becoming a Councillor)... anyway, up at our burial ground, the roses and lavender look fab. We've had two interments today - an unusual event, and one with a professional singer at the graveside.

It's lovely up here, with views over to the Cotswold escarpment, and down into the village of Charfield below. Where even as you read, beer is being.

Hail Lammas Lughnasadh. Hail the brew and the bread! ;-)
